과거단순 부정문 / 의문문 구조
조동사 did / didn't 사용 시 본동사는 반드시 동사원형이 됩니다.
부정문 (Negative)
- •Subject + didn't + base verb
- •I didn't see him yesterday.
의문문 (Question)
- •Did + Subject + base verb...?
- •Did you go out last night?
A. 과거단순 부정문과 의문문의 기본 구조
조동사 did / didn't 뒤에는 언제나 동사원형(infinitive)을 씁니다.
I played tennis, but I didn't win.
테니스를 쳤지만 이기지는 못했습니다.
Did you do the shopping? - No, I didn't have time.
장 보셨나요? - 아니요, 시간이 없었어요.
We went to the cinema, but we didn't enjoy the film.
우리는 영화관에 갔지만 영화가 재미없었습니다.
Did it rain yesterday? - No, it didn't.
어제 비가 왔나요? - 아니요, 안 왔습니다.
What did you do at the weekend?
주말에 무엇을 하셨나요?
B. didn't / did 뒤의 본동사는 동사원형!
부정문이나 의문문에서 did/didn't가 쓰이면 본동사는 과거형이 아니라 동사원형으로 원상복귀합니다.
I didn't see Barbara yesterday. (not I didn't saw)
어제 바바라를 보지 못했습니다.
Did you go out last night?
어제 저녁 외출하셨나요?
They didn't invite us to the party.
그들은 우리를 파티에 초대하지 않았습니다.

C. 짧은 응답 (Short answers)
Yes, I did. / No, I didn't. 및 Yes, we did. / No, we didn't. 구조입니다.
Did you see Joe yesterday? - No, I didn't.
어제 조를 보셨나요? - 아니요, 못 봤습니다.
Did it rain on Sunday? - Yes, it did.
일요일에 비가 왔나요? - 네, 왔습니다.
Did Helen come to the party? - No, she didn't.
헬렌이 파티에 왔나요? - 아니요, 안 왔습니다.
Did your parents have a good trip? - Yes, they did.
