A. 셀 수 있는 명사 (Countable nouns)
하나씩 낱개로 셀 수 있는 명사로, 단수에는 a/an을 붙이고 복수형(-s)을 만들 수 있습니다.
a bottle -> two bottles / a car -> three cars
병 한 개 -> 병 두 개
I bought a bottle of water.
물 한 병을 샀습니다.
There are four chairs in the room.

B. 셀 수 없는 명사 (Uncountable nouns)
액체, 물질, 개념, 질량 등 낱개로 쪼개어 셀 수 없는 명사로, a/an을 붙이지 않고 복수형(-s)도 없습니다.

C. 불가산 명사 단위 수량 표현 (a cup of, a piece of)
불가산 명사의 양을 셀 때는 용기나 단위 표현(a glass of, a bottle of, a piece of)을 씁니다.
